In June 2005, the Beijing residential index was 1,223 points, 21 points higher than the May index, an increase of 1.76%. The June Hedonic index was 530 points, a drop of 4 points or 0.56% from May, reflecting the change in pure demand and supply in Beijing’s residential market. Affected by Beijing’s macroeconomic situation and newly-added projects, the Beijing residential index continued to rise after May, though the June index rose 21 points over May but remained below March.
