[新闻背景] 9月28日,为期两天的知识产权司法保护国际研讨会在重庆市拉开帷幕,知识产权再度成为全国资深法官、中外知名企业及专家学者的讨论焦点。保护知识产权是维护良好的贸易投资和公平竞争环境的客观需要,是维护一个好的投资“软环境”的重要内容。温家宝总理在接受路透社、德新社、泰晤士报等新闻媒体记者采访的时候,强调中国对知识产权的保护要像钢铁一样硬,而不是像豆腐那样软。他呼吁人们在知识产权保护方面给中国更多的时间。与此同时,中国的商务部长在北京也表示,中国在保护人权的基础上,严格依法办事,保护知识产权。而商业秘密作为知识产权保护中一个重要部分,与公民及企业的利益又非常直接,如何作好商业秘密的保护工作,也将直接关系到我们进行知识产权保护的成果。

Intellectual property has once again become the focus of discussion among senior judges, well-known Chinese and foreign enterprises and experts and scholars. Protecting intellectual property rights is an objective need to safeguard a sound environment for trade and investment and fair competition and is an important part of maintaining a sound “soft environment” for investment. In an interview with news media reporters such as Reuters, the German News Agency and The Times, Premier Wen Jiabao emphasized that China should protect intellectual property as hard as steel and not as soft as tofu. He urged people to give more time to China in terms of intellectual property protection. In the meantime, China's commerce minister also said in Beijing that on the basis of protecting human rights, China strictly follows its law and protects intellectual property rights. As an important part of the protection of intellectual property, commercial secrets are directly related to the interests of citizens and enterprises.
