  俗话说“民以食为天”,“吃”是无比重要的事情,也因此,不管什么语言中,从“吃”中引申出来的表达也就特别多。今天我们就来看看英语中一些“吃出来”的惯用语。
  She is the apple of his eye. 他非常宠爱她。
  I don’t know beans about that. 我对此一无所知。
  Where is the beef after all. 实质问题究竟在哪儿?
