一九八○年十月八日现将教育部《全国中等专业教育工作会议纪要》转发给你们,望参照执行。为了适应四化建设的需要,我国教育事业要力求在八十年代有个大的发展。四化建设不仅需要大量的高级专业人才,而且需要数量更多的中等专业人才。望各地区、各部门要重视中等专业教育,加强领导,切实办好一批重点中等专业学校,解决一些必须解决的问题,把中等专业教育办好。
October 8, 1980 Now the Ministry of Education, “National Secondary Professional Education Working Conference minutes,” forward to you, hopefully with reference to the implementation. In order to meet the needs of the four modernizations, China’s education sector should strive to make a big development in the 1980s. The four modernizations require not only a large number of senior professionals, but also a large number of middle-level professionals. We hope that all localities and departments should attach importance to secondary professional education, strengthen leadership, earnestly do a good job in a number of key secondary specialized schools, solve some problems that must be solved, and run secondary specialized education well.
