“五四”新文学产生之后,人们有理由追溯其产生的历史必然原由,也就是从中国古代文学中寻找新文学变革的历史渊源。研究者试图作出各种阐释,由于研究目标的差异,势必产生偏颇。“五四”新文学并非舶来品。论文试图从重要历史人物的角度考察中国新文学的滥觞。将其发生还原到新旧交替、中西杂糅的特殊文坛风气中,细绎这一根本现象。据事实以立论,揭开历史的朦面—从晚清“诗界革命”到“五四”白话文运动之复杂背景,即可细究中国新文学发生的最初动因,其巨擘推手就是承先启后的两个关键历史人物—黄遵宪与胡适。从黄遵宪到胡适,在理论链条和文学创作的实践上,已经构成“五四”新文学产生最突出的本土文学之源。
After the emergence of the new literature of the May 4th Movement, it is reasonable to trace back the inevitable historical reasons for its emergence, that is, to find the historical origins of the new literature revolution in ancient Chinese literature. Researchers try to make a variety of explanations, because of the differences in research objectives, is bound to produce bias. “May Fourth ” new literature is not imported. The essay attempts to examine the origins of Chinese new literature from the perspective of important historical figures. The occurrence of its restoration to the new and old alternately, Chinese and Western mix of special literary style, fine interpretation of this fundamental phenomenon. According to the fact, the author argues that the original face of the new Chinese literature can be carefully examined from the complex background of the vernacular movement of late Qing Dynasty and the Revolution of Poetry to the May Fourth Movement. The Two Key Historical Figures Predestined to Start - Huang Zunxian and Hu Shih. From Huang Zunxian to Hu Shi, in the practice of theoretical chain and literary creation, it has formed the most prominent source of native literature in the new literature of May Fourth Movement.
