The principles of portfolio management from the financial sector also apply to IT investment management. Late last year, a sea breezy evening took place at Dell (China) in Xiamen and Mohamed Kinj, head of Greater China’s Information Technology and Production division at Dell, ate with colleagues. He looked around the table and found himself in the “United Nations”: the color of the 15 colleagues in the room varied in different languages. They were from Europe, the United States, India, Malaysia and China. Although such a team in a multinational corporation is not unusual, Mohammed still has some feelings.
