党的十四届六中全会决议中指出：“加强青少年思想道德教育，是关系国家命运的大事。”国家把青少年思想道德教育作为社会主义精神文明建设的重要内容之一，将其提到了新的高度。因而研究这一课题，具有重大的理论和实践意义。全社会都应给予高度重视，进一步加强青少年道德教育的理论研究，重视知行统一，引导青少年树立科学的世界观、道德观、人生观和价值观。２１世纪正向我们走来，我们有义务和责任担负起教育青少年的重任。为此，我部近来邀请了部分有关专家和学者进行笔谈，以期促进对这一重大问题的研讨。这些意见都是作者一家之言，一方之见，欢迎读者和专家参与讨论，以期获得更加全面、科学的认识
In the resolution of the 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it was pointed out: “Strengthening education for ideological and moral education for young people is a major event that has a bearing on the fate of the country.” The state has taken the education of young people’s ideology and ethics as one of the important elements in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and referred it to the new the height of. Therefore, to study this subject has great theoretical and practical significance. The whole society should attach great importance to further strengthen the theoretical study of youth moral education, attach importance to the unity of knowledge and practice, and guide young people to establish a scientific world outlook, moral outlook, outlook on life and values. The 21st century is coming to us. We have the obligation and responsibility to shoulder the important task of educating young people. To this end, I recently invited some relevant experts and scholars to conduct written speeches with a view to promoting discussions on this major issue.
