利用缩微技术管理档案在我国已有几十年的时间,起步晚的也有十来年时间,都制作和保存了一定数量的缩微品。其主要目的是为了延长档案原件或档案内容的保存期,造福后代。缩微胶片保存期限按国际标准（ISO5466,ISO10602）的划分办法分为“中期”、“长期”和“档案”三级,在保证缩微胶片质量不受损失的情况下,至少保存10年的为中期;100年的为长期;达到我们所期望的尽量延长的保存期为档案保存期,即我们常说的“永久保存”。文章中所谈都是用于“永久保存”这一级别的胶片。
