2014年6月16日是周恒刚老先生逝世十周年祭日,十年来周恒刚先生一直都留在人们的记忆里。而对景芝酒业来说,尤其是在“芝麻香”白酒工艺的研究上,周恒刚先生给予了很大的支持。早在1983年,周恒刚先生就开始关注景芝的“芝麻香”研究。1985年他出席了由山东省第一轻工业厅组织的在景芝酒厂召开的关键性的“芝麻香型白酒科研学术讨论会”。会上特别强调创立新香型的艰巨性,说:

Jing Zhi liquor, especially in the “sesame flavor ” liquor technology research, Mr. Zhou Henggang gave great support. In 1985, he attended the key “Scientific Symposium on Sesame Spirits” held at Jingzhi Distillery organized by the First Light Industry Department of Shandong Province.
