Pictured above is a photograph of a Venus radar released by NASA, revealing Venus surface details for the first time showing the 400-volt volcano on Venus and some flat lava domes. The photo was taken by a U.S. Magellan probe. The probe completed its first probe of Venus on May 15, 1991, and captured 84% of the surface of Venus. Venus is the brightest star in the solar system except the sun and the moon. Its surface is covered by a layer of carbon dioxide gas up to 95 kilometers, it is difficult to observe its true colors.
