The 21st Army of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army was one of the main forces that fought in the battlefield of East China during the War of Liberation and was developed by the units of the 2nd and 4th divisions of the New Fourth Army. Part of its predecessor was the 28th Army of the Chinese Workers ’and Peasants’ Red Army during the Agrarian Revolutionary War.
