近几年来,随着新材料,新工艺,新技术的不断发展,许多部门正逐步采用高强度螺栓代替原来的铆钉连接。以栓代铆不仅能简化安装工序,降低成本,减轻劳动强度,加速建设,同时还便于维修。但必须有既能使每个螺栓的上紧力基本一致,又能快速拧紧的工具,以便使以栓代铆得到大量推广。从一九六九年下半年开始,上海市电动工具研究所和大桥工程局、上海电器三厂、上海测电器厂一起,经过一年多的努力,共同设计、试制了适用螺栓终拧用的120公斤·米定扭矩电动扳手。
