In Heidegger’s relationship with Taoism in China, the most interesting aspect from the ideological level is the question: what is Heidegger’s inspiration from Lao Zhuang? In fact, he and Chinese scholars The experience of Xiao Shiyi’s translation of Lao Tzu in 1946 seems to be a problem because of the denial by some people (such as Heidegger’s L Erzi Herman). The three articles translated here directly help to answer these two questions. May’s essay comes from his masterpiece that explores the “hidden source of East Asian ideas” in Heidegger’s philosophy. The most prominent contribution of this paper is to examine the German translations of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi used by Heidegger and compare them with some related theories in Heidegger’s writings. In what profound and critical sense, Lao and Zhuang have been influenced by Seoul. The article by Xiao Shiyi is the first-hand material on the issue of “co-translating” the Tao Te Ching, “while the famous Heidegger expert Bogold’s” Heidegger and Lao Zi "elaborated on his previous article After East-West Dialogue: Heidegger and Lao Tzu, we consider the result of revisiting some people who deny the facts. Moreover, this article also provides some new facts and materials.
