[European Nuclear Society’s “Nuclear News Network” reported on April 19, 1994] According to the Romanian Nuclear Energy Association, the national news media claimed that the facility for the production of heavy water for the Romanian nuclear power plant has been clarified because of possible health problems caused by hydrogen sulfide. In view of the above-mentioned media assertion, the ROMAG heavy water plant asked the medical research center to investigate this situation. 210 people working in different areas of the plant and residents of a village 1 km from the site received
