Fatty alcohols, widely used in the chemical industry, can pass through the skin and cause poisoning. At present, only the standard of skin-to-skin contamination of methanol is prescribed. In order to set the standard for the contamination of fatty alcohol C_5-C_ (10), the authors studied the two most representative fatty alcohols, pentanol and heptanol. The toxic effect of alcohol depends on its physical and chemical properties, while its physical and chemical properties change regularly with the increase of the number of atoms in the molecule. The authors conducted an experimental study of the skin absorption of amyl alcohol and heptyl alcohol. The results showed that when two thirds (5% of the epidermis) of mice and rats were soaked in amyl alcohol and heptyl alcohol once, they did not cause
