IBM Enhances RS / 6000 Performance IBM Corporation announced that it will enhance the performance of its RS / 6000 workstation product line. The new system, as well as an upgraded version of the existing system, will feature the 233MHz PowerPC 604e microprocessor, and the company also introduced the new 16-bit disk drives with 4.5GB and 9.1GB UltraSCSI interfaces to meet customers’ performance needs.
