丁玲在1970年代末复出,当时正是固有文学体制松动和新文学体制建构的历史转型期,她对《在严寒的日子里》叙事策略的不断调整和修正,内现出“新时期”前夜的复杂状况以及创作主体的文化尴尬。从其1956年在《人民文学》杂志发表的8章和1979年重写发表在《清明》杂志上的24章,可见复杂的权力关系对文学生产乃至文学史叙述的重大影响。
