The process of preparing TiC / 2618 composite by in-situ reaction synthesis (ie XD method) was studied by using ordinary mechanical stirring casting method and reverse casting method (first melting master alloy followed by matrix material). The results show that the reverse casting method can increase the fusibility of the master alloy and effectively reduce the loss of TiC particles during the casting process, resulting in an ideal composite material.
