[Objective] To investigate the expression and significance of PCNA and EGFR in colorectal cancer and paraneoplastic mucosa cells. (Methods) 10 cases of normal colorectal mucosa and distant colorectal cancer were taken. Nearby and cancerous mucosa cases. Immunohistochemical staining (SP method) was used to simultaneously detect the expression of PCNA and EGFR on a continuous slice basis. [Results] The distribution of PCNA and EGFR positive cells in colorectal cancer tissues was heterogeneous. The number of PCNA positive cells in normal mucosa and colorectal mucosa was 2.42±1.02 and 20.21±6.58, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01); the positive rate of EGFR They were 0 and 73.33% respectively, there was also a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The number of PCNM positive cells in distal, proximal and cancerous mucosa of colorectal cancer were 4.26±2.14, 7.43±3.26, and 20.21±6.58, respectively. There was a significant difference between the groups (P<0.01). The positive rates of EGFR were 3.33%, 20%, and 73.33%. The expressions of PCNA and EGFR were related to the differentiation degree, stage, and lymph node metastasis of colorectal cancer, but not related to the histological type. The expression of PCNA and EGFR in the mucosa of 30 patients with colorectal cancer was significantly positively correlated (P<0.05). (Conclusion) Combined with pathological observation, the simultaneous detection of PCNA and EGFR expression can objectively and accurately determine the degree of malignancy and biological characteristics of colorectal cancer, as well as the proliferative activity and cancer potential of colorectal cancer marginal cells.
