当1996年3月阳泉市被国务院列为实施国家安居工程的88个试点城市之一时,这年5月阳泉市安居一期工程就正式开工,占地面积100亩,总投资8787万元,建筑面积11.7万平方米,经过广大工程建设者的顽强拼搏,实现了阳泉市委、市政府确定的“四个当年”(即当年设计、开工、竣工、见效)的目标,向全市中低收入家庭提供了20栋、1216套质量精良、外形美观、布局合理、各种设施配套齐全的实用型住房,实现了经济、环境、社会效益的三统一。今年6月,共建楼15栋,建筑面积10.3万平方米,住房1054套的安居工程二期也已全部完工,与安居一期工程连成一个完整的康达住宅小区。阳泉市经济适用住房发展中心主任张国斋和他的伙伴们为安居工程的顺利完成,倾注了全部的心血和汗水。他本人也因成绩突出,被授予市安居工程建设
