Nintendo Co., Ltd., located in Kyoto, Japan, has only 950 employees and is a “small business”. However, in 1993, the company’s pre-tax profit reached 168.4 billion yen, and its per capita net profit was more than 90 million yen. According to the international exchange rate of the year, it is equivalent to an average annual profit of 800,000 US dollars. This is unmatched by any famous company in the world. Nintendo was once a small street factory for poker, mahjong and chess. In 1949, Yamauchi began to manage this small factory. After more than 30 years of struggle, it has become the largest company in Japan after Toyota and Telegraph and Telephone Corporation. How did Yamauchi initiate it?
