1.前言海底光传输系统与海底同轴电缆传输系统不同,前者是由光缆(传输介质)、光半导体器件(接收传输信号)和数字回路(中继机回路)等主要部件构成。这些部件用于海底传输方式在技术上尚未完全成熟。为了使系统能够长时间地在恶劣的海底环境下工作,要求海底光中继机和海底光缆等应具有很高的可靠性。
1. Introduction Submarine optical transmission system and submarine coaxial cable transmission system is different from the former by the optical cable (transmission medium), optical semiconductor devices (to receive transmission signals) and digital circuits (repeater circuit) and other major components. The use of these components for submarine transmission is not technically mature yet. In order to enable the system to work for a long time in a harsh marine environment, it is required that submarine optical repeaters and submarine optical cables should have high reliability.
