根据中央关于中国人民解放军建军90周年纪念活动安排,庆祝建军90周年主题展览于2017年7月21日在中国人民革命军事博物馆开幕。展览由中共中央宣传部、中共中央文献研究室、中共中央党史研究室、中央军委政治工作部和北京市主办,中央军委政治工作部具体负责,中央军委机关相关部门参加。展览主体内容以时间为脉络,设置“在土地革命战争中诞生成长”“抗日战争的中流砥柱”“夺取全国解放战争胜利”“保卫人民民主政权和建设合成军队”“开创军队建设新局面”“加快推进中国特色军事变革”“全面履行新世纪新阶段历史使命”“在强军兴军新征程上阔步前行”等8个部分。
