和谐,是一种关系的平衡,是一种关系的有序状态和境界。在某种意义上,中国画是讲究与探讨和谐的艺术。中国画的知白守黑,是从画面空间布局上强调着笔处的“黑”对于大象无形的“白”即“空”的重要性,“空”的虚灵意境需要通过“守黑”的经营才能获得。因而,“知白守黑”既是中国画营造意境的构图原理,也是中国画家在“黑”与“白”中求得平衡、把握和谐的一种方式。
Harmony is a balance of relationships, an orderly state and realm of relations. In a sense, Chinese painting is an art that stresses and discusses harmony. The clear and vigilant nature of Chinese painting emphasizes the importance of the “blackness” of the brush from the layout of the painting to the invisible “whiteness” of the elephant, that is, the “emptyness” of the elephant.
