In general, the Chinese word order follows the principle of time-series law. The first occurrence in an utterance precedes the latter. The timing laws of Chinese stem from the copying of real events and have iconicity. This iconicity reflects the Chinese way of thinking from big to small, from the whole to the part. However, some linguistic phenomena have limitations in the interpretation of temporal laws. Therefore, this paper assumes that the spatial principle of Chinese is the root cause of temporal laws and tries to verify the hypothesis from the perspective of psychological cognition. It is considered that the Chinese time-sequence law is the reflection or mapping of the spatial representation of Chinese and embodies the Gestalt psychology of Chinese.
