西汉初期的盗铸钱币情况一直让政府颇为苦恼,盗铸钱不仅使吏民的生活受到很大的影响,更造成物价不稳定、市场混乱等不良后果。币制的频繁更造是盗铸行为猖獗的诱因,而盗铸币所带来的高额利润是人们趋之若鹜的根本原因。西汉政府多次改革币制都没能成功遏制局面的发展,更是出台各种法令条文以此来打击盗铸钱币的行为,但结果依然不尽如人意。
In the early Western Han Dynasty, the situation of pirating coins had always been quite distressing to the government. Pirating money not only greatly affected the livelihood of the officials and peasants, but also caused unfortunate consequences of price instability and market turmoil. Frequent alteration of the currency system is a cause of rampant pirate casting, and the high profits brought by theft coins are the root causes of people’s rush. The Western Han Dynasty government failed to reform the currency many times to successfully curb the development of the situation. Moreover, various statutory provisions were promulgated to crack down on the acts of stealing coins. However, the result was still unsatisfactory.
