The controversy surrounding the fashionable discourse of “new economy” has intensified in the United States as the general election approaches. The focus of the debate is: What is the driving force behind the miracle of growth in the United States for nine consecutive years? In the “new economy ”Contribution can not be effectively supported from the normative economic statistics, what is the reason we have to deny the contribution of the traditional economy to the U.S. economy and attributed the developing U.S. economy to the“ new economy ”? Economic “is a real economic fact, or a picture of the future economy that has not happened yet? The debate has a clear color of partisan struggle, but it also contains many substantive contents. Written by Jia Xinmin, Institute of Policy and Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences, ”How much is the contribution of the new economy to the U.S. economic growth?" On the basis of extensive research and literature review, induction.
