任鸿隽一生历经晚清、民国和中华人民共和国三个历史时期,从激进的革命青年转变为提倡、宣扬科学的鼓动者。本着为国家建设服务的理念,他与同学创建中国科学社,先后担任教育部司长、东南大学副校长、四川大学校长、中央研究院总干事与化学所所长、中基会董事及干事长等职务,致力于中国近代学术的推展。 Ren Hongjuan’s life went through late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the People’s Republic of China three historical periods, from radical revolutionary youth to advocate and promote scientific agitation.
