Cheyenne Pouyou is a tragedy of black and white “racial half-breed ” modeled by Carson McCullers “no pointer clock ”. He is in a predominantly southern American town that is racially discriminatory but desperate to be a decent and respected person, challenging the aftermath of the apartheid policy he moved into white settlements and eventually killed at home.
