在工业上用锰作为铝的合金化元素始于20世纪初,但为了使添加锰更为有效,尚有许多工作要做。锰在铝合金中不仅可以减少铁的有害影响,而且还是改善加工性能、抗腐蚀性能以及提高强度的有益组元。锰在铝中的溶解度低,使其应用受到一定限制,目前正通过快速液体淬火途径来弥补这一不足。由于锰的成本低、容易获得,因此使用仍相当普遍。锰在固溶体中的扩散速度很低,显著地提高了再结晶温度,使合金适合于高温下应用。
In the industry, alloying elements that use manganese as aluminum begin in the early 20th century, but much remains to be done in order to make manganese more effective. Manganese in aluminum alloys not only reduces the harmful effects of iron, but it is also a beneficial component to improve processability, corrosion resistance and strength. Manganese solubility in aluminum is low, its application is subject to certain restrictions, is currently through rapid liquid quenching approach to make up for this shortcoming.
