拒绝是一种本质上不礼貌的言语行为,使用不同语言、生活在不同国度的人们拒绝方式因各自的文化背景而不同。本文通过对比中英两种文化下人们表示拒绝的手段,分析了人们拒绝策略不同,但是达到的目的一致的原因。
Refusal is an essentially impolite verbal act, which is different for people who use different languages and live in different countries because of their different cultural backgrounds. This article analyzes the reasons why people reject different strategies but achieve the same purpose through contrasting the people’s rejection of China and Britain.
