This paper introduces a key technology in the television tracker combining digital and analog detection - real-time capture and processing of the sequence images of the location and size of the specified target area. A practical system based on ADSP2181 is realized. The key hardware technology is analyzed, the application of programmable device EPLD is introduced, and the result of real-time acquisition and processing is given
