英语进入中国的历史不过一百多年,英语最初作为一种简单的皮钦(Pidgin)商业语言首先在广州口岸使用,随后被上海洋泾浜英语取代,之后较为正规的英语教育使皮钦英语逐渐退出历史舞台。中国最初学习英语的工具性极强,带有强烈的“民族雪耻”意识,目的是“强兵互国”。21世纪的中国“强国富民”的梦想已经实现,今后英语教育将往何处去?本文从历史发展的角度对这些问题进行了细致的分析和探讨,希望对未来英语教育的发展方向有所启迪。
For more than a hundred years, however, English was first used as a simple Pidgin business language at the Guangzhou Port and later by Pidgin English, after which more formal English education enabled Pichin English Gradually withdraw from the stage of history. China first learned English highly instrumental, with a strong sense of “national humiliation”, the purpose is “strong military and mutual”. The dream of “strengthening the nation and enriching the people” in the 21st century has come true, and where will the future of English education go? This paper analyzes and discusses these problems from the perspective of historical development in the hope that the future direction of English education will be Inspired.
