This article presents a technique for predicting the suppression of mixer false signal responses and discusses the computational process and data requirements. This article also statistically calculates the prediction error of a large number of data points. INTRODUCTION The method of combining two extraneous signals to obtain their sum or difference frequency for a third signal has found wide use in communications and radar equipment. Circuits that complete this combination often produce unwanted components while producing the desired signal. All of these components are generated by the various nonlinearities in the mixer itself or in the preceding stages and can be assigned to the class of nonlinear mixing components.
