The dynamics model of gear shift process of planetary gearbox and the differential equation of motion of automatic gear shifting system during shifting process are established by using multi-body dynamics method. The simulation calculation is carried out. The establishment of the model provides the theoretical basis for the simulation and control of the shift process and provides a feasible way to improve the shift quality
