Wood Markets published the report on the market prospects of North American plywood and oriented strand board (OSB) in 2001 and 2002. It is expected that the impact of OSB on ordinary plywood covers will be strengthened. Twenty-two years ago, the OSB, which was in a relatively low position, began to erode 50% of the plywood cover. In the next four years, the impact of the OSB was even more intense due to the rise of the new OSB factory. In addition to economic benefits and housing construction and other factors, the main factor affecting the price of building wood-based panels is the number and speed of construction of new OSB plants in North America. In the next 3 to 4 years, OSB will be mainly used for housing construction.
