The relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) mutations and human-specific immune responses is one of the keys to elucidating the biological significance of variation, but the methodological limitations have so far been poorly understood. The effects of hot spot mutation I97L and / or S87G of C gene in patients with chronic HBV infection on HLA-A2-restricted T-cell epitopes were analyzed by using computerized epitope prediction and human leucocyte antigen (HLA) peptide complex technology.
