知识在企业经营活动中的重要作用越来越显现,为适应这一变化,几乎所有的大型跨国公司均放弃原先以降低成本为目标的组织结构调整路径,纷纷把组织结构调整的目标定位于增强企业组织的灵活性、适应性,以增强企业的整体竞争优势.然而,企业内部分工导致专用知识的分散化.企业组织结构中的权力分配应当与企业内部的知识分布状况相适应,以便提高企业的决策效率.
