今天价值冲突产生的一个重要原因就是现行的教育模式。这种现代的、基于学科的教育范式具有局限性,导致学生接受相互矛盾的信息,产生了对于现实理解的偏差。笔者在此想讨论另一种教育方式。这种方式曾应用于希腊——拜占庭文化模式中,在拜占庭帝国衰落之后仍存留于东欧国家。这种教化有两个层次:外在(exoterik或outer)和内在(esoterik或inner)。第一个层次是第二个层次的准备。这种教化认为:人的最终层面是人本身,人是独立且不可复制的,人在实践中能够认知自我。人对于自我及世界的真实经验是以一种个人的、独特的方式获得的,这种经验无法传授。这种秘传的教化理想可能是今天多种族、文化、或宗教冲突的答案。这种教化理想有助于我们对他人的精神需求产生共鸣,即使他们处于和我们相异的文化和精神层面。
One of the important reasons for the conflict of values today is the current education model. This modern paradigm-based paradigm of education has limitations that lead students to accept contradictory messages and create deviations from the reality of understanding. I would like to discuss here another way of education. This method was used in the Greek-Byzantine cultural model and remained in Eastern European countries after the decline of the Byzantine Empire. There are two levels of enlightenment: exoterik or outer and esoterik or inner. The first level is the second level of preparation. This enlightenment holds that the ultimate level of human beings is human beings, that human beings are independent and can not be duplicated, and human beings can recognize themselves in practice. The true experience of oneself and the world is acquired in a personal and unique way that can not be imparted. This secret ideal of enlightenment may today be the answer to multi-ethnic, cultural, or religious conflicts. This ideal of enlightenment helps us to resonate with the spiritual needs of others, even if they are at a cultural and spiritual level different from ours.
