广州市艺术学校始建于1973年,是广州市唯一一所公立的综合类艺术学校。2002年4月,学校与广州芭蕾舞团实行资源整合,著名芭蕾舞表演艺术家、广州芭蕾舞团团长张丹丹担任校长。2004年,该校被评为广东省重点中等职业学校。为了探索有利于艺术教育和表演艺术发展的新体制新机制,2005年3月该校划归广州大学,加挂“广州大学附属艺术学校”校牌。2006年2月,该校被评为国家级重点中等职业学校。学校现开 Founded in 1973, Guangzhou Arts School is the only public comprehensive arts school in Guangzhou.
