一、西北协作区地下水观测研究工作的进程自1977午以来,按照水电部的统一布置,西北协作区各省区陆续开展了地下水观测研究工作,十多年来在水电部农水司,水文局直接指导与各省区水利厅(局)的重视和支持下,进展顺刊。截止1987年底,六个省区共建基本观测井3817眼,控制观测面积164745km~1,初步形成了具有一定格局的地下水观测井网,培养了一批具有较高素质的技术队伍,积累了约4万多个井年的地下水动态资料,为地下水资源评价、合理开发利用地下水、管好用好地下水、发展灌溉、防治涝碱、指导机井建设等,提供了基本资料,产生了巨大的社会经济效益。纵观西北协作区地下水观测研究工作的发展,由1977年到1987年,大体经历了三个阶段:
