潮水河因受海潮一日两次涨落的影响,水位随时在变化着。因此,建在潮水河上的船闸,既要遇到外水位高于内水位的情况,又要遇到内水位高于外水位的情况,所以闸门的上下游两面都要受到水压力。闸门受水压力的方向随潮转换,这是与一般船闸不同的地方,所以潮水河船闸闸门形式的选择,就应该根据这一特点而进行研究比较。江苏省黄田港船闸是采用三角柱式闸门的,现在把这个实例提出来作一商榷。
