Objective To study the effect of high-pass filter filtering low-frequency tone on the tone recognition of normal hearing people. Methods Twenty-one (33 ears) audiologically normal subjects were tested. The hearing and speech rehabilitation training evaluation system for hearing impaired was used to test the original sound and the high-pass filtered sound respectively. The intensity began to decrease from 50dBSPL and recorded the tone recognition rate before and after filtering Statistical analysis. Results The recognition rate of tone was in line with the S-curve of normal speech before and after filtering. The statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the recognition rate of tone before and after most of the test intensity filtering (P> 0.05). Conclusion After the high-pass filter filters out the low frequencies, the normal hearing people can still correctly recognize the tones.
