This article is based on his speech recording at Peking University. He introduced the multi-national archeology team’s many years of harvesting at the Chattahohu site, discussing the climate change and its economic, social, cultural, artistic and symbolic significance that the site experienced over a period of about 1500 years. He also attempted to discuss why the lifestyle of the inhabitants of the site, inextricably linked with the tradition of local life, has been slowly changing. It turned out that a community that was initially transformed and creative was increasingly reluctant to change as things around it changed.
