2006年IDC发布预测报告,2010年全球来自IMS的设备和方案的市场规模高达141亿美元,而IMS收入快速增长期将从2007年开始。这从侧面反映了全球运营商对于IMS的认可。事实上,目前全球多数运营商都认为,IMS是实现全面网络融合的必然选择,是下一代通信网络发展的方向。不少领先的运营商则已经开始了IMS的部署,有的已投入商业应用,同时越来越多的欧洲和亚洲包括中国的运营商开始进行IMS测试。
In 2006, IDC released its forecast report. In 2010, the market size of equipment and solutions from IMS in the world reached as high as 14.1 billion U.S. dollars. The rapid growth of IMS revenue will start in 2007. This partly reflects the global operators’ recognition of IMS. In fact, most operators in the world believe that IMS is the inevitable choice for realizing full network convergence and is the direction for the development of next-generation communications networks. Many leading operators have already started the deployment of IMS, some have been put into commercial applications, while more and more operators in Europe and Asia, including China started IMS testing.
