Severe trauma patients often have hypothermia, but the cold is an adverse physiological reaction or protective physiological response is unclear. One of the major consequences of fluid resuscitation after ischemic injury is the formation of an edema that is characteristic of an ischemia-reperfusion injury model. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of regional hypothermia on changes of capillary permeability in intestinal models of ischemia-reperfusion injury in cats. In this study, adult cats were anesthetized and a section of autologous ileum of 15-20 cm in length was dissected under anesthesia. Intrathecal arterial, venous and lymphatic vessels were inserted to determine the contents of lymphatic flow (Q_1), lymphocytes (C_1) and plasma protein (C_p)
