血癌之一的ATL(成人T 细胞性白血病)的病毒由输血感染,全国每年约有4万人被感染而成为新的病毒携带者,85年9月12日京都大学病毒研究所的日沼赖夫教授和日本红十字会血液中心共同研究小组在第九次日本血液事业学会总会上发表了调查结果。日沼教授说,在二千个病毒携带者中有一人发病,一旦发病即为致死疾病。血液中病毒的存在用简单的检查法能检查出来,应及早地确立输血用血液检查体制。
One of the blood cancers, ATL (adult T cell leukemia) virus is infected by blood transfusions. About 40,000 people are infected each year to become new virus carriers. On September 12, 85, Kyoto University Institute of Virology, The professor and the Japanese Red Cross Blood Center research team published the findings at the 9th Japan Society of Hematology Society. Professor Ryuuma said that one out of two thousand virus carriers is morbid, and once the disease is onset, it is a lethal disease. The presence of the virus in the blood can be checked by a simple test, and a blood test system for blood transfusion should be established as early as possible.
