美国Qualcomm公司日前成功地完成了在中国进行的码分多址(CDMA)数字蜂窝系统现场测试.此次试验是与邮电部合作,于1994年3月至6月间在人口总数为900万的中国第二大城市天津进行的.这次对话音质量、覆盖范围、同频复用和功率控制功能等方面均进行了试验.试验结果表明,码分多址技术比目前的TACS系统的爱尔兰“容量要大十余倍,同时表明在许多方面码分多址技术均优于现有ACS系统.据透露,邮电部正在评估码分多址技术作为未来的国家标准的可能性.Qualcomm公司无线电部总裁艾伦·萨马希说:“我们完全承诺为中国提供最大容量和最价廉物美的现代无线技术,
Qualcomm Inc. of the United States of America successfully completed a field test of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital cellular systems in China, which was conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
