The United States GE company invested heavily, which lasted 6 years to develop a successful “innovation” type diesel locomotive. The main technical features of the locomotive are high fuel efficiency and good emission performance. Compared with the existing locomotives, the fuel efficiency is 3% higher and the emission of harmful substances in the exhaust gas is reduced by 40%.
