Foreword Some pay zones have such low resistivities (typically less than 1 ohm-meter) that it is difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish them from aquifers by standard log interpretation. The reason for the difficulty is that these interpretation methods often result in the calculation of high formation water saturations (50% or more).
